It’s been a whole year since your baby arrived and the tiny bundle is now a little person with proper character. What better way of celebrating this milestone than with photoshoot
Booking your session
Milestone cake smashes & splashes sessions, are some of the most fun photos to shoot not only for me but you and your little one, too.
A £50 booking deposit must be paid upon booking to secure your place in my diary. I can not reserve any date otherwise. This is non-refundable but transferable to another date or collection. This is included in your collection price and will be deducted from the final payment. The outstanding balance must be paid on the day of your session. No images will be edited until the Cake Smash package has been paid for in total.
Once your session is confirmed, We will chat about your vision for the session as well as define cake, props, and colours that you like. This step can be done through email (my email is sandramplomien@hotmail.com ) .

Session day
Make sure your baby is fed (but not overly fed) and get a good nap before the session.
Don’t assume they will dive right in. All parents hope that their little one will dive in and make a mess of the cake, that’s what you are paying for! But that doesn’t always happen and that’s okay. Not every child wants to dive right in and make a mess no matter what tricks we try. It’s important to know that even if they don’t turn their cake into a gooey pile of crumbs, I am still able to catch fun images of them poking at it or carefully picking bits of icing or decorations. It’s also a good idea to bring along a favourite toy and some snacks in case your little one needs some encouragement.
Come prepared for some fun mess. One thing parents don’t often realize is that they too will likely become covered in cake and icing during the session, so a change of clothes for everyone, not just the birthday boy or girl, is a good idea.
What to bring:
- An outfit for your child to be photographed in(not necessary as I provide lots of outfits)
- Any favourite toys that are likely to grab their attention during the shoot
- A drink for your little one (cake smashing is thirsty work) and some snacks
- A towel for your little one to dry after his splash session.
- Special soap if your little one has sensitive skin or any other skin condition.
When dressing your children for the photoshoot please try to avoid busy patterns or logos in their clothing. I recommend choosing solid neutral colours wherever possible.
After Your Session
Images can take up to 4 weeks to go through post-editing. I professionally retouch and artistically enhance each individual image presented to you. Once your gallery is completed, I will send you a private online viewing gallery link for you to to download photos then I will order prints and usb stick.
Digital Images
Digital images are provided via a digital download only -no physical items- with full printing rights. Files are high resolution which allows you to print as big as you’d like.
